About this product
The Hamsa Hand (or Hand of Fatima) is a symbol of unity and protection, thought to protect one from evil. Haitian artisans delicately chiseled the details of the open hand and evil eye to create this small piece of art. This token works well as a beautiful accent on a table or bedside table. It may also be hung on the wall or add a string to hang it as an ornament.
Crafted from recycled 55-gallon steel drums by village artisans in Haiti, these stunning pieces of art are truly one-of-a-kind! The process of turning sheets of metal into beautiful art is all done by hand. Steel drums used to transport oil into the capital of Haiti are cut, the oil is burned off to clean the metal, and then flattened in order to create stunning, upcycled art.
