Rust and Natural Mud Cloth

African mud cloth is a traditional handmade textile from Mali in West Africa, dating all the way back to the 12th Century. It’s made from narrow strips of woven cotton, hand stitched together to form one whole piece of cloth. This piece of mud cloth is then hand printed in patterns and symbols using a variety of natural dyes from the earth. The amazing thing is that each mud cloth is unique and no two are exactly the same
